At Last, it is confirmed that Sergio Perez has parted ways with Red Bull Racing, and Liam Lawson will take his place as the second driver for the F1 Red Bull Racing Team in the 2025 season.

What Red Bull Racing Team Principle Said About Lawson?
“It was very, very tight between the two of them,” Horner said. “I mean, Yuki is a very fast driver. He’s got three or four seasons of experience now. He did a very good job in the tyre test for us in Abu Dhabi where the engineers were impressed with how he performed.
“With Liam, when you look and go into the analytics of his race, pace was slightly better in the races that he did. His qualifying pace was very tight with Yuki, and you’ve got to assume that the potential with Liam having only done 11 grand prix, is he’s only going to get better and stronger. He’s shown real mental resilience and toughness.
“A couple of things have stood out with me with Liam – how versatile he is,” Horner said. “You put him into a situation, he gets on with it. If you remember his debut in Zandvoort after Daniel broke his fingers, he was racing against Max on his out lap.
“He’s got that kind of gritty racer mentality. He did a year in the DTM where he adjusted to driving a Ferrari GT car incredibly quickly alongside Alex Albon and generally had the upper hand. And again, his racecraft has been really one of his key strengths. So he’s not afraid to go wheel-to-wheel and even rub wheels where necessary. So I think he’s going to do a great job for us.”
“The engineers have enjoyed working with him through the running that he’s done this year. He’s got a good work ethic as well. So it is great to have Yuki still involved with the Racing Bull scene next year. And of course he’s on standby should he ever be required.”

Mercedes Announced Valtteri Bottas As Reserve Driver
After Valtteri Bottas announced that he was going to retire from the F1 as there were no other teams who wanna give him 1st or 2nd driver’s seat, the only option left for him was to say goodbye to Formula 1 but then came the call from his former team Mercedes As their Reserve Driver for 2025.
Bottas accepted the offer because it is family for him, where he spent his F1 career from 2017 to 2021 before replacing by the young talent George Russel in 2022.
“I’m happy to finally answer the question I’ve posed over the past month.” Returning home to the Mercedes family as third driver for 2025 is what’s next and I couldn’t be more pleased. I want to thank Toto, the team at Brackley, and everyone at the three-pointed star for welcoming me back with open arms.
“Despite the challenges of the past few years, I know that I’ve still got so much more to contribute to F1. Since I was a five-year-old kid growing up in Nastola, Finland, my focus has been on achieving success in the top tier of motorsport. I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed many incredible moments in my 12 years of racing in F1 so far.
“As I return to the place where so many of those moments were achieved, I’m looking forward to using all the knowledge I’ve gained to help the team to perform and progress towards our goal of fighting for world championships.”
