5. 2023 Australian Grand Prix: 8 DNFs

The 2023 Australian Grand Prix is one of the most dramatic races in recent times. Four drivers were disqualified in qualifying before the race started, and then, during the race, 8 drivers failed to finish. Only 12 F1 drivers were able to finish the race, in which Max Verstappen came on pole.

4. 2014 Canadian Grand Prix: 11 DNFs

11 Drivers in the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix failed to finish the race, and so many accidents happened, which led 11 drivers to DNFs. Daniel Ricciardo won the race by a gap of +4.236 seconds. Remembering that all 22 drivers participated in the race was another great event.

3. 1998 Belgian Grand Prix: 14 DNFs

In the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix, only eight drivers were able to finish the race. Damon Hill of Jordan-Mugen-Honda finished at the pole position, and in the 2nd place was finished by Ralf Schumacher of the same team. The 1996 Monaco Grand Prix holds the record for most DNFs in a single race in which 19 drivers failed to finish the race out of 22, and the remaining three drivers finished first, second, and third. Right from the start, the track was very wet to drive on, making many drivers’ cars slip and collide with one another. Olivier Panis of the Ligier-Mugen-Honda team, David Coulthard of the McLaren-Mercedes team, and Johnny Herbert of the Sauber-Ford team finished on the podiums.
