Abdul Razzaq Apologises For His Controversial Remarks On Aishwarya Rai

Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq apologised after his shameful remarks about Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bacchan.

Ex-Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq faced a lot of criticism after his bizarre remarks about Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. Abdul Razzaq, while criticising the Pakistan Cricket Board’s intentions, mentioned Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bacchan. Here’s what he said.

Here, I am referring to their (PCB’s) intention. While I was playing, I was aware of my captain Younis Khan’s good intentions. That gave me strength and confidence, and with Allah’s help, I was able to perform well for Pakistani cricket.”

We don’t really intend to improve and enhance the players, in my opinion. That will never happen if you believe that I will marry Aishwarya (Rai) to have a good-natured and moral child. Therefore, you must first amend your intentions.

Abdul Razzaq, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi, and Umar Gul were also present there, and their responses to the shameful comment were equally shocking. Both cricketers clapped and laughed, which made the moment even worse to watch. Netizens didn’t take the comments lightly and criticised the former cricketers for their degraded remarks.

However, Abdul Razzaq, after realising his mistake, has officially apologised for his remarks. Taking on the X (formerly Twitter), he posted:

I am very ashamed of yesterday and I realize I said very bad words. I apologize to everyone, please forgive me.

Not only did he ask for an apology from his followers on X, he also publicly apologised for his remarks on Samaa TV.

Yesterday, we were talking about cricket coaching and intentions. I had a slip of the tongue and mistakenly took Aishwarya Rai’s name. I apologise to her personally. I did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiment.”
