India is most likely to be the venue for one of the most exciting boxing matches in combat sports history. The historic boxing event will feature one of the most popular MMA fighters, Conor McGregor, and the WWE star and social media personality Logan Paul. The exhibition boxing match will mark the return of the Irish MMA superstar Conor McGregor to combat sports after the tragic leg break incident happened in 2021 while fighting in a trilogy bout against former UFC lightweight interim champ Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
India’s one of the wealthiest families, Ambanis, is facilitating the money event, and according to some reports, each fighter would get a whopping $250 million for their exhibition boxing match. Conor McGregor earlier announced the initial negotiations he was having with the Ambani family for the historic event, and he almost confirmed the rumors of fight finalization by posting a tweet on his X handle with the sign of the Indian flag and a heart.

So far, Conor McGregor has been the subject of all the social media chatter about the massive exhibition fight. Logan Paul, however, has yet to confirm the fight. Logan Paul’s stardom and Conor McGregor’s ability to attract fans to his events can create history at the 34,000-seat Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, where the boxing match will happen in 2025.
Conor McGregor last fought in a boxing ring in 2017 against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Unfortunately, the fight ended with McGregor losing it via 10th round TKO, but both of them carried a heavy bag of money back home after the bout. Since 2017, “The Notorious” had a rough patch in the Octagon as he lost to Khabib and then to Dustin Poirier twice before the devastating leg break incident.
In 2025, he might return to winning ways. Though his comeback will happen in the boxing ring, not the octagon, it will be a huge day for him to prove to his fans that fighting is still left in him.
