Dalu wins TDCA’s Inter Club Cricket Tournament – Division B.

The cheers of the crowd echoed in the stadium as the Dalu Cricket Association lifted the trophy for the Inter Club Cricket Tournament 2022-23 Division B. It was a glorious moment for the team as they outperformed Guare by 45 runs in the final held in Tura, West Garo Hills. The tournament, organized by TDCA, provided a much-needed opportunity for young cricketers to showcase their skills and passion for the game. With 21 clubs participating from across the region, the tournament was a testament to the growing popularity of cricket in Garo Hills. Congratulations to the winners and kudos to all the teams for putting up a fantastic show!

It was a thrilling finale to Division B as the Guare Cricket Association faced off against the Dalu Cricket Association at the Alotgre Cricket Ground in Tura. Dalu won the toss and elected to bat first, and they made the most of it with an impressive score of 113/10 in just 24.1 overs. Guare struggled in their response and were bowled out for 88/10 in just 22.1 overs, resulting in a 45-run victory for Dalu. However, the man of the match was undoubtedly Ravin Dokgre, who put on an outstanding performance, taking five wickets in just 4.1 overs, conceding a mere four runs during his spell. His incredible performance earned him the prestigious Player of the Match award.

The TDCA Inter Club Cricket Tournament is an exciting event every year, where young and talented players compete to prove their skills and get selected for professional cricket tournaments. This year’s tournament was no different, with exceptional performances from Chillian Sangma of Dalu CA, named the Best Bowler, Mingku Marak of Balachanda CA, named the Best Batsman, and Jongkam Marak of Dalu CA, awarded the Player of the Tournament. With such impressive skills on display, we can only imagine what the future holds for these young cricket players. We look forward to seeing them shine on bigger and better stages in the future.
