Struggles And Childhood Of Dhruv Jurel
Dhruv Chand Jurel was born on January 21st, 2001, to Nem Singh Jurel (his father) and Rajani Jurel (his mother) in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. His father is a retired army veteran, and his mother is a homemaker. His father always wanted his son to follow his legacy and become an army person, but his ambitions were different as, at a very young age, he decided to become a cricketer. His passion for cricket developed when he was in his eighth grade and went to a 60-day sports camp where he initially joined the swimming pool camp, but when he saw a batter hitting sixes in the cricket ground and got amazed by it, he quickly shifted to cricket camp and didn’t tell his parents about that.
As cricket is an expensive sport and one needs to spend on accessories to play the game, Dhruv demanded a cricket kit from his parents, but Dhruv’s parents couldn’t even afford to buy a cricket kit bag at that time and refused to buy it. Saddened by that, Dhruv locked himself in the bathroom and threatened to leave the house. His mother couldn’t see her son like that and decided to sell her jewellery to buy a cricket kit for her son.
