The Four Time Indian Premier League winners Chennai Super Kings will play against the last year’s IPL champion Gujarat Titans and will be looking to start their campaign with a win. Csk won the title in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. Last year when Chennai Super Kings decided to give the captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja so he could lead the side in the future but the result was poor, and they finished the season at the bottom of the table, just above Mumbai Indians.

Mohammad Shami took 2wickets in that match. From the Chennai Super Kings side, Ruturaj Gaikwad was the one good performer in the match, scoring 53 runs in 49 balls.

He performed really well for his side as he played 15 matches last year in which he scored 487 runs with an average of 44 and also took 8 wickets. He was the man of the match in the final as he scored 34 runs and took 3 wickets to make his team win their first IPL title. In total, he played 107 IPL matches in which he scored 1963 runs with an average of 30 and took 50 wickets.
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans)
Shubman Gill was one of the main reasons why Gujarat Titan won the title last year. As many people criticized him for having a low strike rate when he was in Kolkata Knight Riders, he was the one who gave his team a great start in most of the IPL matches. He scored 483 runs in 16 matches with an average of 34. He got four Half-Centuries and always gave the best start to his team. In 2022 Shubhman Gill till now having the best form of his life as he scored a double century in ODI against New Zealand.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was one of the best players from Chennai Super Kings last season as he scored 368 runs with an average of 26 and in both matches against Gujarat Titans, he performed well as in the first match, he scored 73 runs in 48 balls and in 2nd match he scored 53 runs in 49 balls. He has been one of the most consistent batsmen for CSK for the last 3 seasons. He played 36 IPL matches in which he scored 1207 runs with an average of 37.
