After a thumping win in the Asia Cup 2023 final over Sri Lanka India has gathered a lot of praise from cricket fans and cricket experts, who are calling the Indian team victory a statement for the other teams that they are ready to take on anyone in the World Cup 2023. The Indian cricket team, showing their prowess on the Asia continent, claimed the Asia Cup title for the eighth time. Mohammed Siraj dismantled Sri Lanka’s team by taking six wickets in the seven overs he bowled. Sri Lanka wasn’t able to recover from that, and Sri Lanka’s side was all out for just 50 runs, which was the lowest score scored in the Asia Cup ODIs.

Seeing the performance put on by India in the Asia Cup tournament, former Pakistan’s speedster Shoaib Akhtar said that India can be the most dangerous side in the upcoming World Cup matches. In a video that he uploaded to his YouTube channel, he praised Rohit Sharma’s captaincy during the Asia Cup and was happy to see Indian fast bowlers taking wickets. He concluded the video by giving a warning to Pakistan and other sides to be careful about India.
