The explosive right-handed batter of the England Cricket team, Jos Buttler, who is playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, was recently fined 10% of his match fees for breaching the IPL code of conduct. He was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.2 of the IPL code of conduct. The right-handed batter got out on a duck in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders when Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler were caught in indecision, and Andre Russell capitalized on the situation and threw the ball to the stumps to dismiss Jos Buttler.
Jos Buttler while facing Harshit Rana in the second over of their innings, Jos Buttler defended the ball well and wasn’t looking to take a quick single but Yashasvi on the other end launched himself towards Buttler even he resisted in the beginning but eventually ran and Andre Russell hit bulls eye. Buttler turned his head back and showed some dissent and that is what speculated to be the reason of the penalty imposed on him.
Jos Buttler was not in that of a touch like he was in the previous season IPL 2022, where he ended the season with orange cap he made 863 runs in IPL 2022 but so far in this year he managed to score 392 runs in 12 matches with 4 fifties this season. Though even after taking the Jos Buttler wicket early in the overs KKR failed to turn the match on their side as Yashasvi jaiswal and Sanju Samson were too good for them.
The League released some statements:
