Mumbai Indians Star Batsman Suryakumar Yadav will Miss the First Match Against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024

Read about the latest news of Suryakumar Yadav's Injury just before the opener of the Indian Premier League (IPL), a Big Blow for Mumbai Indians.

The Indian Mr. 360 star player Suryakumar Yadav is set to miss the first match of the IPL 2024 due to a temporary issue with his Sports Hernia injury, which may require surgery because the National Cricket Academy (NCA) did not clear him fully fit to play in the IPL.

Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the best batters in the T20 format and his skills are just amazing which is why Mumbai Indians are going to miss him a lot in the opener of the IPL. There is also news that he can miss more matches depending on the doctors and the NCA management who are the ones that can give the green flag to him if he is allowed to play or not because in the upcoming T20I World Cup, he will be the key players for the Indian team and they don’t want him to get injured before the big tournament. He also posted a heartbreak emoticon on his story just a few hours ago.

It is a big setback for the Mumbai Indians team but they do have lots of players to cover for Suryakumar Yadav in the middle order as Hardik Pandya’s inclusion will be more important now and there is a chance that he will be given the role of Suryakumar Yadav in the middle order till he is out of the team.

Suryakumar Yadav missed the T20I series against South Africa in December and before that, he went for ankle surgery but his fitness is scheduled on March 21 by the NCA in the Mumbai Indians camp which will give a better report for his injury to the management and the team.

What did the Mumbai Indian coach say about Suryakumar Yadav?

Mark Boucher the new coach of Mumbai Indian stated the injury issue of Suryakumar Yadav when Reporters asked him about the situation of the player during the press conference.

“We are awaiting updates on Suryakumar from the BCCI. We have always been under a cloud of fitness issues but we have a world-class medical team. We may lose one or two in terms of fitness but we have to move on,”

“As the coach of Mumbai Indians, I am going to be a little bit biased and hope to see my best players in all the games. I have a soft spot for my players and I do understand that they might have niggles and that’s when I will fall back on my medical team and work with them accordingly.”
