Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, the Nepal cricket team did their training at the NCA, and then they joined other teams, including the eventual champions India in the USA and West Indies, for the tournament. After completing their training, Nepal’s squad will move to Canada for their second CWC League 2 series. They will play a tri-series against the host Canada and Oman.

#Rhinos are off to India @BCCI to gear up for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 Preparation Series! Training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore for two weeks will sharpen our players’ skills and strategies. Let’s wish them all the best,”

Cricket Association of Nepal

Currently, Nepal stands at number six in the league two standings and has only won one match of the four played in the home tri-series match against Namibia and the Netherlands. Some of Nepal’s cricketers, like Sandeep Lamichanne, Dipendra Singh Airee, etc., were in Canada for the GT20 league. If Nepal falls short of securing at least number 4 rank in the CWC league 2 matches, then they have to play a CWC qualifier play-off.
