Pak Cricketer Imad Wasim Caught Smoking During the PSL Final
Pakistan’s all-rounder Imad Wasim, representing Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, had a dream final as the all-rounder picked a fifer in the match and stopped Multan Sultans for 159/9 in the 20 overs. Islamabad United registered a two-wicket victory over Mohammad Rizwan and Co. by chasing the target of 160 runs in the 20th over of the match. Not just with the cricket ball, his 19-run cameo with the bat played a vital role in his team’s victory in Karachi. Still, his heroic celebration soon turned into criticism after the all-rounder was caught on camera smoking in the dressing room while the match was going on.
Islamabad United won a thriller in the PSL final to grab their third title in the T20 league. Hunain Shah hit the boundary in the match’s last ball to hand the Multan Sultans their third successive final defeat. Multan Sultans have been reaching the finals of the PSL since 2021, winning their first PSL title that year, but in following years, they lost to Lahore Qalandars in 2022 and 2023 and now to Islamabad United in 2024.
