“I Will Be Able To..” Rishabh Pant Provides Updates On His Comeback

Rishabh Pant provides clarity on his potential comeback in the IPL 2024.

Rishabh Pant, who has been speculated to return in the IPL 2024, has recently provided an update on whether he would be fit to play again in the IPL 2024 or not. The wicketkeeper batter has been out of action due to the injuries he suffered in the car accident. The good thing is that the injuries were not that fatal, and after proper rehab and care, he was back on his feet. In fact, he was spotted a month ago at a Delhi Capitals camp where legends like Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting were present. According to ESPNcricinfo, Rishabh Pant was planning a comeback as a skipper for the Delhi Capitals, but these were considered just rumors, and there wasn’t much clarity on that.

Rishabh Pant has addressed the rumors while talking to the Delhi Capitals franchise ahead of the mini-auction and said that he still needs time to get fully recovered and that the process will take a few months, but he is optimistic about his return to action.

Much better, given what I was doing few months ago. I’m still on recovery to 100 per cent but hopefully in few months time I will be able to do it,”

Rishabh Pant survived a car accident when he was driving late at night on the Delhi-Dehradun expressway. In that accident, his right leg suffered most of the damage, and all three major ligaments of the knee were torn apart, but due to timely hospitalization, his life was saved. During the conversation, he also shared how he felt emotionally and mentally during his recovery and what his road to recovery taught him.

“It has been really amazing because whenever we keep playing cricket we feel no one loves us because there is so much pressure. Yes it was a hard time, but at least I got to know that people love and respect me and kind of kind of concern that they showed by heartwarming and crazy for me. It means a lot and helped a lot in recovery”.
