Manjo Tiwary’s career has been very short in terms of International games because he only played just 12 ODI matches for India and Three T20Is, in which he was not able to impress pretty much.

He scored one century against the West Indies and a half-century against Sri Lanka but missed his chance to be on the Indian team for a long time. It is quite amazing that he asked MS Dhoni why he dropped him when he had the potential to be like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma but was dropped after scoring a century. He also said that he got dropped when Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suresh Raina were not scoring runs then, but Dhoni still decided to drop him.

The Bengal Cricket Association used to call him Chota Dadda because he was the 2nd best batter from Bengal after Sourav Ganguly, and even after he announced retirement, Ganguly wished him luck for his future. He has been amazing for his state team, and the amazing thing was that he even played in the same IPL team with Dhoni in 2017.

Manoj Tiwary Political Career

The Indian cricketer also won the seat in Shibpur in 2021 when he was selected as a candidate for the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. He joined Mamata Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress party and became the minister of state for the Affairs of Sports and Youth.
