After 27 years, Sri Lanka won the ODI series against the Indian Cricket Team by 2-0 to give a strong statement to the world of cricket that they are not a walkover team anymore as their spin department dominated the whole series to keep one of the best batting lineups on the backfoot as Rohit Sharma was not happy with the approach by the batters.
What Mistakes Did New Head Coach Gautam Gambhir Did?

Shivam Dube is being preferred over Rinku Singh and Ravindra Jadeja in ODI on the spin-friendly track, which is quite amusing to see as they already sideline Jadeja and did not give another chance to Venkatesh Iyer, who did so well for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
All the fans now seem quite down with the selection because of the politics and favoritism still going on under the Gambhir who is known for his honesty.

It was a disappointing defeat for the Indians in the last match as they lost the 3rd ODI match by 110 runs shockingly they were on their knees against the spin attack which is another downfall for the Indian batters as in the past Indian batters used to be the best against the Spinners but in the recent times its clearly seen that they even struggle to pick the ball from the hand of the spinners.
India became the team that lost the most wickets (27) against the spinners in the bilateral ODI series which have max 3 matches makes a clear statement that India is losing the art of playing spin and one of the biggest reasons for that might be the T20I format and renovating the pitches pace bowling friendly to get success in the foreign tours.
