India’s own Women’s franchise-based Cricket League’s 3rd edition is coming to its end with 5 teams fighting each other throughout the tournament. One will get its hand at the prestigious trophy on 15th March 2025. Before the final match, WPL 2025 Playoffs will decide which two teams will clash in the final. Though according to the rule book of the WPL, the table toppers automatically qualify for the finals of the league, it is still not confirmed who will reach the final first as Mumbai Indians are in 2nd position and will play its last league match today against Royal Challengers Bengaluru is in race with Delhi Capitals to finish at the top of the table.
It will be exciting to see who will reach the final via automatic qualification. The teams in the 2nd and 3rd positions will face each other in the eliminator, and the winner will face the table topper in the final.
Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians both are playing their 3rd consecutive playoffs of the Women’s Premier League and the latter in fact won the inaugural edition of the tournament where as the former finished as runner-ups in both editions. Gujarat Giants are playing their first playoffs of the league and will face the 2nd positioned team after today’s match.
