Yuzvendra Chahal Snubbed Again, Rinku Singh In The Squad Against Australia

Yuzvendra Chahal is not in the selected 15-member squad for the five-match T20I series against Australia.

After getting snubbed for the Asia Cup 2023 and World Cup 2023 campaigns, India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal still didn’t get the chance to play for the Indian team in the five-match T20I series against Australia, who recently defeated India in the World Cup 2023 final to claim their sixth ODI World title. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was a regular in the limited-overs format for India, is finding it hard now to get into the team. Yuzvendra Chahal sent a cryptic message on his social media handle, X, soon after the squad was announced. Yuzvendra Chahal shared a smile emoticon on his X handle, which is kind of weird, but at the same time, it looks like he is now not worried about his selection for the team.

The squad announced contains 15 players, and the squad is quite identical to the team sent to Ireland for the three-match T20I series. That time, it was captained by Jasprit Bumrah, but this time Surya Kumar Yadav will be the captain of the team. Rinku Singh is also included in the squad of 15 players; Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the deputy of Surya Kumar Yadav in the series; and Shreyas Iyer will also join the team for the last two matches as the vice captain.

The first match against Australia is scheduled for November 23 at Visakhapatnam, then the team will move to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, for the next match.
