Read about the latest F1 news and what is happening before the start of the Japanese Grand Prix. Max is not tense about Engine Failure.

The Japanese Grand Prix is on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 and the race will start at 10:30 am IST but before the race starts there is much interesting news coming just before the F1 Japanese Grand Prix. The first news is about the sudden change of the McLaren Technical Department just after the Three Grand Prix of the 2024 season.

Why did McLaren terminate the contract with David Sanchez Technical Department after three months?

David Sanchez came to McLaren after working for Ferrari as an aerodynamic specialist and also Rob Marshall who is the ex-Red Bull technical expert signed with McLaren in the winter to give an extra edge to the F1 car so they can compete with Mercedes and Ferrari in the constructor championship but after the three months, David with his team and McLaren decided to part they way due to not having the same thoughts about the responsibilities and plan they placed before agreeing with the deal in February 2023.

Following thoughtful discussions between David Sanchez and the team leadership, the mutual decision has been taken for David to leave the team.

“Upon our joint reflection, it became apparent that the role, responsibilities, and ambitions associated with David’s position did not align with our original expectations when he agreed to join us in February 2023.

Until the time the role is given to Andrea Stella, the director of the Technical Performance team, and until they appoint someone in a permanent role, he will lead the department.

Red Bull and Max Verstappen are not worried about another Engine Failure at the Japanese Grand Prix

The three-time World Champion Max Verstappen had to exit early from the Australian Grand Prix because of a mechanical engine failure, and it was the first time in two years that he could not finish the race. The last time, he failed to complete the race was on the same track in the 2022 Australian Grand Prix.

In the last race, Carlos Sainz won the Australian Grand Prix but the interesting part is that Sain will not drive for Ferrari next year as they already signed Lewis Hamilton for the 2025 season, but has a good start to the season, which can make him a top prospect for Mercedes who are still had to fill the vacant seat of Hamilton for the next season.
