George Russell started on 7th in the main race of the Belgian Grand Prix, and right from the start, he looked great and gained two positions in the first lap after Norris lost his place.

On the other hand, his teammate Lewis Hamilton became the race leader in the 3rd lap, and then in the 11th lap, Russell came back in the pit to change the tire, which was his only stop in the whole race, but that made him sit in the 10th position in 12th lap but then the real race started for him as in the 21st lap he climb up to 4th and in the 26th lap he told his team that he wishes to go with only one stop which is why he became the race leader as all three cars went to the pit stop.

George Russell and Hamilton fought in the last two laps for pole position, which ended with Russell winning the Belgian Grand Prix with just one stop. That clearly was an amazing race, the best he ever drove in the F1. He was called by his teammate the “Type Whisperer.” However, he was later disqualified due to being underweight. Lewis Hamilton won his 105 Pole in his F1 Career out of 346 races he competed in.

“The car was not fully drained according to the draining procedure submitted by the team in their legality documents as TR Article 6.5.2 is fulfilled.
“The car was weighed again on the FIA inside and outside scales and the weight was 796.5 kg. The calibration of the outside and inside scales was confirmed and witnessed by the competitor.
“As this is 1.5 kg below the minimum weight requested in TR Article 4.1, which also has to be respected at all times during the competition, I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration.”
