Chelsea 4-2 Leicester City: The Blues once again looking to play finals at Wimbley
Chelsea FC and Leicester City played their night FA Cup match, and now Chelsea progressed eight times out of nine times against Leicester, but last time when they two met each other, it was the Leicester side who won the match by 1-0 in the final of 2021 FA Cup.
The match started well for the Chelsea club, as they went 1-0 up in the 13th minute when Nicholas Jackson showed his pace to break through Leicester’s defense and gave the final pass to Marc Cucurella, who scored the goal. However, in the 26th minute of the match, Raheem Sterling missed his penalty, but soon after that, the new Blue’s star boy Cole Palmer scored the second goal of the match in the 45th minute of the match.

After half-time, Chelsea conceded its own goal when Axel Disasi made it a 2-1 scoreline, and then in the 62nd minute of the match, Stephy Mavididi leveled the scoreline by 2-2. In the 73rd minute of the match, Callum Doyle got the red card that gave Chelsea a chance to win the match. In 90+2 minutes of the match, Carney Chukwuemeka scored the 3rd goal for the Blue’s side, and then Noni Madueke sealed the semi-final spot for the Blue to make it a 4-2 scoreline.
Chelsea did win the match, but it was not a convincing win for the side as they were gifted a winning goal for them, but then still, it is good news for the fans who are supporting the club in their hard time when the team is in the 10th position in Premier League even after spending 1 Billion Dollars in one year in just transfers deals which not click well except the Palmer deal.
After the match, Chelsea Manager Mauricio Pochettino said that fans should trust the club, not him.
I am not asking them to trust me,” “They need to trust the club. If I am here it is because of the decision of the club.
“I made the decision [to substitute Mudryk]. I am not here to do what people want. Also, I am not stupid. I saw Mudryk and he was tired. We thought he would not finish the game. We are professionals and we want to win.”
Pochettino said
