England U20s Undefeated with Chelsea’s Bashir Humphreys’ Goal!

In their final game of the international window, the Ian Foster-led squad have once again showcased their impressive skills, recording two wins over Germany and the USA. Meanwhile, the MU20s are busy preparing to make their mark in this summer’s FIFA U20 World Cup after winning the UEFA U19 EURO last year. The Young Lions got off to a great start when Harvey Vale and Humphreys teamed up to score the opening goal in just ten minutes of play. Vale’s deep free-kick into the box was met by the on-loan Paderborn centre-back, who found the back of the net with a composed side-foot finish. With midfielder Alex Scott narrowly missing out on a second goal after hitting the post with a header, it was clear that the MU20s were a force to be reckoned with.

The match between England and France was a thrilling battle from start to finish. England had created some promising opportunities, but it was France who struck just before halftime. The goal came after a beautifully crafted move saw Mohamed-Ali Cho slip the ball through to Alan Virginius, who calmly tapped it into the empty net. However, England’s substitutes still posed a threat, none more so than Dane Scarlett, who came agonizingly close to getting on the scoresheet with a curled effort that drifted just wide. It was an exciting game, full of twists and turns, and both teams can hold their heads high after such a fantastic display of football.

In a closely contested match between England and Les Bleus, it was a fantastic save by goalkeeper Matthew Cox that prevented the French side from taking the lead midway through the second half. Cox brilliantly denied Sepe Elye Wahi when the striker was through on goal in a one-on-one situation. England also had their moments, with substitute Sam Iling-Junior delivering a dangerous cross that was narrowly missed by another substitute, Ronnie Edwards. In the dying moments of the game, Cox once again came to his team’s rescue with a superb save from a header by Florent Da Silva, ensuring that his side remained unbeaten in this international window.
