Indian Junior Football Team Ready to Conquer Asia in AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2023

India is ready to take on Asia in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2023, with 16 year old midfielder Korou Singh Thingujam leading the team.

The stage is set for the Indian junior football team as they embark on their bid to win the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2023 in Thailand. The 16-nation tournament will be held from June 15 to July 2, with all of the matches available live streaming in India.

India, led by 16 year old midfielder Korou Singh Thingujam, will start their campaign against Vietnam on Saturday. India is placed in Group D along with Uzbekistan, whom they will face off against on June 20.

The team has been training hard and are looking forward to this tournament to showcase their skillset and determination. Head coach Bibiano Fernandes said that the players have shown immense progress over the past few months of training and that they are capable of competing with the best teams in Asia.

India have been drawn up against some strong opposition in the group stages, including Uzbekistan, whom they face off against in their first match. However, Fernandes is confident in his side’s ability to make a deep run into the tournament and believes they can challenge for a spot in the knockout stages.

The team will be looking to draw on the strength of their attacking prowess as well as their rock-solid defence, with Thingujam leading from the front. The midfielder has been in impressive form for his club and is hoping that he can transfer this into performances at international level and lead India to victory.
