The National England Football Association announced the new England National Football team manager, Thomas Tuchel, for the next 18 months at least, who signed the deal and said that he came here to win the World Cup after Gareth Southgate left the team just after they lost the final of Euros 2024 against Spain.
Gareth Southgate’s managerial skills are amazing, and it is very safe to say that he was the 2nd best manager of England who took the team to two finals of the Euros (2020 and 2024) and the semi-final of the World Cup, which was a great achievement from him still he been targetted a lot because fans thought that England have the super start studden team who mostly plays in the English Premier League but still they all failed to deliver up to the mark of their names in the National Football major competition.
Thomas Tuchel Achievements and Trophies
Thomas is already a proven manager at the club level by winning 1 UEFA Champions League with Chelsea FC, then winning the Germain Champions title with Bayern Munich. 2 times French Championship title with Parish Saint-Germain, 1 time German Cup winning with Borussia Dortmund and also awarded as the World Best Club Coach when he was managing the Chelsea FC in 2020/2021 season.
What did Southgate say after he left his role as England’s National Football Manager?
“As a proud Englishman, it has been the honour of my life to play for England and to manage England. It has meant everything to me, and I have given it my all.
“But it’s time for change, and for a new chapter. Sunday’s final in Berlin against Spain was my final game as England manager.
“I joined the FA in 2011, determined to improve English football. In that time, including eight years as England men’s manager, I have been supported by some brilliant people who have my heartfelt thanks.
I could not have had anyone better alongside me than Steve Holland. He is one of the most talented coaches of his generation, and has been immense.
“I have had the privilege of leading a large group of players in 102 games. Every one of them has been proud to wear the three lions on their shirts, and they have been a credit to their country in so many ways.
“The squad we took to Germany is full of exciting young talent and they can win the trophy we all dream of. I am so proud of them, and I hope we get behind the players and the team at St. George’s Park and the FA who strive every day to improve English football, and understand the power football has to drive positive change.
“My special thanks go to the backroom staff who have provided the players and me with unstinting support over the last eight years. Their hard work and commitment inspired me every day, and I am so grateful to them – the brilliant ‘team behind the team’.
“We have the best fans in the world, and their support has meant the world to me. I’m an England fan and I always will be.
“I look forward to watching and celebrating as the players go on to create more special memories and to connect and inspire the nation as we know they can.
“Thank you, England – for everything.”
What Thomas Tuchel Said About His Managerial Role of England National Football Team?
“Besides the talent, I know we have the character in the players. I can’t wait to work with them from March on the pitch. Hopefully with all the staff at St George’s Park, we will push all the players to the limit.”
“The target is to win the World Cup, so I don’t know if it is a failure [if we don’t],” If we miss the target then we would have to talk about why we missed it.”
When reporters asked about the extension of a contract and whether it would be worth £5m a year, Tuchel replied that they didn’t know about the scenario and that, yes, it would depend on whether we become the World Cup winners or how well we perform in the tournament.
It will not be easy for Tuchel because he will have so many options to play with, but many pundits are asking, “Which formation will he use?” As for his past role with different clubs, he might go with 3-2-4-1, which he used during his Chelsea time. Harry Kane, alongside the wingbacks, will be his key player.
