Gujarat Giants rise to third place in PKL 10 with a thrilling win, reshaping the points table dynamics

In a gripping clash on December 27, the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 10 witnessed intense battles, causing significant shifts in the points table. Gujarat Giants secured the third spot after a nail-biting encounter against Tamil Thalaivas, ending with a 33-30 triumph.

The first match of the day showcased a fierce face-off between Jaipur Pink Panthers and Dabang Delhi, resulting in an exhilarating 32-32 draw. Despite Delhi’s strong lead in the first half, Jaipur’s comeback ensured both teams earned three points each. This draw elevated Jaipur Pink Panthers to the second position in the points table with 28 points from 8 matches, while Dabang Delhi secured the seventh position with 30 points.

In the second match, Gujarat Giants exhibited stellar performance to outclass Tamil Thalaivas with a close 33-30 victory. This win propelled Gujarat Giants to the third position in the points table, boasting 28 points from 8 matches. Meanwhile, Tamil Thalaivas sits in the 11th position with 12 points.

Key contributors to these victories were raiders Arjun Deshwal and Ajinkya Pawar, both delivering outstanding performances and securing Super-10s. The matches also witnessed commendable efforts from defenders who executed crucial tackles.

With Match 44 now in the books, Arjun Deshwal’s Super-10 against Dabang Delhi has elevated him to the third position in the race for the Green Band, accumulating a total of 76 points. Bengal Warriors’ captain, Maninder Singh, leads the raid points chart with 78 points, followed closely by Telugu Titans’ Pawan Sehrawat with 76 points.

As the PKL Season 10 progresses, the competition intensifies, and teams jockey for advantageous positions in the points table, setting the stage for more thrilling encounters in the coming matches.
