From the first raid of the match, U Mumba showed that they were playing to qualify for the playoffs as Manjeet picked 2 points in the first raid of the game. Up Yoddhas retaliated with their defense and raiding department working in sync, and soon they started leading the scoreline. Both teams were cautious in their approach and relied on do-or-die raids. UP Yoddhas’ Gagan Gowda was bringing points for his team. He got the support of Bhavani Rajput and U Mumba’s Ajit Chouhan, who was leading the raiding department, from his team. At the end of the first half, UP Yoddhas were leading the scoreline by just 1 point (13-12).
From the start of the second half, a more aggressive approach from UP’s side was seen as both raiders and defenders collaborated to inflict the first all-out on U Mumba in the 10th minute of the second half. From there, U Mumba made a spectacular comeback and didn’t let UP Yoddhas steal points; Defender Rinku and Parvesh Bhainswal tackled Bhavani Rajput and Gagan Gowda to choke Yoddhas’ raiding points, the damage was such that in the final minutes of the game U Mumba inflicted an all-out on UP Yoddhas and tied the scoreline to 25-25 despite that Yoddhas got the lead in the last minute of the game and won the match by 3 points.
