The left-defender of U Mumba, Lokesh, tackled the star raider from Patna’s side, Devank Dalal, to increase the lead; Patna’s Ayan Lohchab started scoring points in the raid, and defense contributed to closing the points gap. Both teams were doing well in the initial minutes of the first half.
During the 8th minute, U Mumba increased its lead courtesy of Ajit Chouhan’s super raid, which also helped U Mumba inflict the first all-out on Patna Pirates. In the fourth minute of the second half, Ajit Chouhan’s escape from Patna’s strong defense made Mumba inflict another all-out on the Pirates, and the home team took the lead by 14 points.
In the last 10 minutes of the game, Patna started decreasing the gap and inflicted an all-out on U Mumba, but that wasn’t enough to beat them. The match ended with U Mumba winning it by 7 points, with a scoreline of 43-37.
