Anshul Jubli’s next Fight In The UFC Is Going To Happen On..
India’s MMA face the “King of Lions,” Anshul Jubli, who made his name around the world after getting the UFC contract, becoming the second Indian MMA fighter to get it. To secure the UFC contract, he fought the best fighters in the MMA in the Road to UFC tournament and became the first Indian fighter to do so. His hype and popularity after getting the contract were over the roof in India. Fans in India were waiting for his debut fight in the UFC event, and finally, in October, he got the chance to prove his mettle in fighting; unfortunately, he couldn’t win his debut fight against Mike Breeden as the latter knocked him out in the last round of the fight.
Though Anshul Jubli lost his debut fight, he showed everyone that he has the strength and heart to compete in the world’s biggest MMA promotion, and his fans in India are waiting to see him fight again in the octagon. There is no official announcement of his next fight in the UFC, but Anshul Jubli revealed that he will fight soon, probably in the first quarter of this year. Not just that, Anshul Jubli also said that there are high chances of Puja Tomar fighting in the same event.
Puja Tomar becomes the first Indian women MMA fighter to sign the UFC contract. Both MMA fighters were former fighters of Matrix Fight Night (Indian MMA Promotion) and train at the same club. It would be interesting to see whether India’s rising MMA stars open India’s win count in the UFC or not. UFC 297 is scheduled to happen on January 20th, 2023, which will mark the UFC’s first PPV event in 2024.
