Chatri Sityodtong explain the difference between ONE and UFC

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong is a firm believer that his organization is the home of real martial arts and gives the audience entertainment across various martial arts disciplines, not like the UFC, which is confined to the space of MMA only. ONE organization has been a premier destination for fighters from the disciplines of Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, Grappling, etc., covering all the popular martial arts, not just MMA, and that’s what, according to Chatri Sityodtong, makes his organization different from the UFC. Speaking to Sky Sports ONE’s CEO,

The UFC’s focused on MMA, we’re focused on all martial arts, all the different disciplines. But the best of the best on the planet, whether it’s striking, grappling, or mixed martial arts.”
We focus on the ethos of martial arts. I’m a lifelong martial artist as the founder. I’ve been doing Muay Thai for almost 40 years and Brazilian jiu-jitsu for 14 years or so and I want to represent real, authentic martial arts from the home of martial arts here in Asia.”

Claiming that ONE is arguably better than the UFC and the best place for a martial artist to be, he said that most martial arts experts would agree with what he said. Going further, he even said that it won’t be an exaggeration to call the ONE championship the Olympics of martial arts.

UFC and ONE arguably have the two best rosters on the planet, I obviously argue that our roster is better than UFC’s, actually many martial arts experts would agree with me. But the real difference comes in the ethos.”
