UFC featherweight champ Ilia Topuria and newly crowned welterweight champion Belal Muhammad are going at each other on social media from past few weeks. The beef started brewing with Ilia Topuria’s call-out to Islam Makhachev claiming that he can beat the champ in a street fight which doesn’t go well with Belal Muhammad who is friends with Dagestani fighter and warned featherweight champ to be careful about what he asks for. Since then both fighters are not missing any chance to throw verbal jabs on social media. Now, the Spaniard pointing at Belal’s professional career wrote this.

The online beef caught the attention of middleweight champ Dricus du Plessis, who couldn’t resist his laughter and replied to Ilia Topuria’s post with a laughing emoji.

Ilia Topuria is set to face Max Holloway at UFC 308 this month, where the Spaniard will defend his title for the first time. There has been a lot of back-and-forth between him and BMF Max Holloway. “El Matador” is confident that he will become the first fighter in the UFC to put Max Holloway to sleep, but Max is determined enough to hand Ilia the first defeat of his professional career.
Belal Muhammad on the other hand will defend his welterweight title against the undefeated Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310. Shavkat Rakhmonov has 18 wins and 6-0 in the UFC with all his wins coming via knockout.
