“I am the best fighter” Jarred Brooks Said That He Will Retain His Title In The Rematch Against Joshua Pacio

Jarred Brooks is confident that he will win his rematch against Joshua Pacio at ONE 166.

ONE 166, which is going to happen in middle-eastern Qatar, will feature a rematch between the ONE strawweight MMA champion Jarred Brooks and the challenger Joshua Pacio in the co-main event. In their last fight at ONE 164, ‘The Monkey God’ beat ‘The Passion’ by a unanimous decision. Jarred Brooks is now going to defend his strawweight MMA title for the first time, and he is confident that he can beat the Philippines’ fighter Joshua Pacio again. He announced to the world that he will prove the doubters wrong in the rematch.

After winning the ONE strawweight title, Jarred Brooks started hunting for another ONE title and challenged the ONE flyweight submission grappling champion Mikey Musumechi for a grappling match. Though he ended up on the losing side, he gave a fight to “Darth Rigatoni” for some time, but eventually Mikey Musumechi controlled the American grappler on the ground, making him submit in the match. On the other hand, after losing to Jarred Brooks, former champion Joshua Pacio went on to fight with Mansur Malachiev and won that by unanimous decision.

Jarred Brooks doesn’t want to stop, as according to him, age is just a number. The 30-year-old speaking on FightWave said that he wants to fight until he turns 40.

“I want to fight until I’m 40 and I fight smart, but the the longer this gets when by the time I’m 35 I’m going to be knocking people the f*ck out because I understand what I’m capable of now.”
