Justin Gaethje vs Max Holloway at UFC 300

The BMF title holder, Justin Gaethje, will be facing the former featherweight champion Max Holloway in the UFC 300 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Both fighters won their last fight. Justin Gaethje became the BMF champion after defeating Dustin Poirier at UFC 291 and knocking Dustin out in the second round of the fight. Max Holloway fought Jung Chan-Sung (‘The Korean Zombie’) in August 2023, which was a farewell fight for the South Korean knockout artist. Max Holloway knocked Jung Chan-Sung in the third round to end the fight. UFC CEO Dana White announced that the BMF title bout at UFC 300 will be at the 155-pound weight limit.

Justin Gaethje is no doubt the hardest puncher when it comes to the light weight division and has been a top prospect to fight the current light weight champion Islam Makhachev, but he didn’t get the shot at the title yet, and till summer, it is most unlikely to get one as now he has to defend his BMF title against Holloway, and if he manages to win the fight, then he will become the first fighter to defend the BMF belt. Max Holloway is one of the greatest fighters in the featherweight division and is going to move up in the weight division for the second time.
