“Let your fighting talk for yourself” Max Holloway On Trash Talking In MMA Before UFC 300
“The Blessed” is going to fight “The Highlight” at UFC 300 for the BMF title, which Justin Gaethje earned after knocking Dustin Poirier out at UFC 291 in July 2023. Now both fighters are going to take on each other at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 13, 2023. Max Holloway is riding on two back-to-back wins, first against Arnold Allen and then ‘The Korean Zombie. Max Holloway, before his fight with Justin Gaethje, appeared on “The MMA Hour” with Ariel Helwani and shared his thoughts on the MMA trash talking now a days and criticized those who cross the boundaries of trash talking to promote their fights and to sell more pay per view.
You don’t need this sh*t talking, the way people are going, the way people are handling themselves on social media or in the media period. You don’t need none of that. Let your fighting talk for yourself, and I understand about trying to hype up a fight and sell pay-per-views, some people are crossing the line lately, and it’s just not cool.

Max Holloway got back to his fights with the current featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. “The Blessed” has fought Alexander three times so far, and in all those fights he unfortunately landed on the losing side, but his earlier losses against Volkanovski will not stop him from fighting him for the fourth time, as according to Max Holloway, he is in the UFC, which is full of the best fighters in the world, and if he has to fight Volkanovski ten times, then he will.
“I believe the best should fight the best. You know what I mean? Everybody’s like, ‘Oh, you’re only saying this cause you’re on the L side. Brother, if I was on the W side of stuff, and I had to fight somebody five times, like holy sh*t, come on, somebody else beat this guy. If you guys want to see me fight him ten times then I’m going to do it cause you guys can’t do it.
