“There’s no doubt” Robert Whittaker Is Confident To Beat Khamzat Chimaev At UFC 308
Former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker is scheduled to fight Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 308 on October 26th. A match-up between these two was done earlier in June, but Khamzat Chimaev pulled out from the scheduled fight due to ill health. Robert Whittaker fought Ikram Aliskerov in the main event and finished the fight in round 1 to rise in the rankings. If he pulls out a victory against the unbeaten Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 308, he can potentially fight for the title next, and that’s what “The Reaper” is looking forward to. While speaking to Submission Radio, he revealed what he wanted after beating Chimaev and how he will do that.
“No, I beat Chimaev, I’m fighting for the belt next. Like, that’s it. There’s no doubt in my mind about that. I just got to make sure that I put all the chips and I cross all the t’s, dot all the i’s, and get to Abu Dhabi top of my game.”
Robert Whittaker said.
Everyone is familiar with the Borz high level wrestling skills as the fighter loves playing his game on his opponent from round one, but that doesn’t bother Robert Whittaker as “The Reaper” knows how to do a counter attack though he gives the props to Khamzat Chimaev for his wrestling skills but reminds everyone that it will be a mixed martial fight and will not go one way as he has various skillset in his arsenal to defeat “The Borz”.
“I’m not going into a boxing fight. We’re not going into a wrestling fight. It is MMA and there are so many roads to victory. And I understand that holistically I’m really good. Like, I’m it’s harder to take me down when I’m throwing punches and kicks at your face.”
He added
The fight between these two is going to be a five-round war, and it will be interesting to see whether the Reaper can counter Khamzat Chimaev’s game, as he is known to destroy his opponents quickly in the fight.
