” Super impressive” Bo Nickal Praised Khamzat Chimaev For his UFC 308 Performance

Bo Nickal was impressed with Khamzat Chimaev's performance at UFC 308 against Robert Whittaker.

Rising UFC middleweight contender Bo Nickal has nothing but admiration and respect for Khamzat Chimaev who had an impressive last fight against former champion Robert Whittaker submitting the champ in the first round of the co-main event at UFC 308. Most people anticipated that it would be the toughest fight of Khamzat Chimaev’s so far but the “Borz” made it look like a cakewalk and proved the he is still the worst match-up for anyone in the middleweight division and raised his stakes to get a title shot next. Bo Nickal who is also on a 5-fight winning streak in the UFC is willing to fight Chimaev if he gets a chance.

I think it was super impressive. To be honest, it’s funny because a lot of people expected that to be a tough fight for him and—you can ask around all the people that I talked to—I kind of thought he would do that to Whittaker. It’s one thing to think that or to kind of see that happening, but he actually did, which is super impressive. Whittaker’s not an easy fight for anybody and he made it look easy. So I was really impressed with his last performance and it seemed like he kind of took a different mentality into the fight as well, which was cool to see.

Middleweight champ Dricus du Plessis is willing to fight Khamzat Chimaev, but his next match-up will likely be with Sean Strickland. Bo Nickal, meanwhile, is looking to win at UFC 309 to get a fight against ranked opponents after that.

“I win one or two more fights and I’m fighting a ranked guy and then I’m fighting a top 5 and then I’m fighting for the belt. If I have six fights right now, I’m already past the halfway point if that’s the trajectory.”
