Merab Dvalishvili “Injured” Weeks Before UFC 311?

UFC reigning Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili is set to face undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov in the first PPV card of 2025 at UFC 311. The two have been going back and forth on social media for months now, and the champion didn’t hide his hate for Nurmagomedov. He accused him of taking leverage of his Cousin’s name, former UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, to get a title shot this early in the UFC.

At UFC 310, Merab Dvalishvili also got involved in a heated altercation with a fan who was clearly provoking “The Machine” by abusing him in the Russian language. Interestingly, the guy was seen multiple times with Khabib and his team, and that’s what made the champion go crazy about the fact that Umar and his team hit a new low in their rivalry by abusing him through someone else.

Now, Merab Dvalishvili shared a video on his social media handle claiming that he has been barred from entering the UFC Performance Institute as Umar Nurmagomedov was training at the institute.

“I’m here out front of the UFC P.I., and security don’t let me go in because they said, ‘Umar Nurmagomedov is inside,’ and they are protecting him,”

Merab said

The thing that caught the eyes of the MMA fans was when Merab revealed that he is currently getting treatment for some injury.

“Don’t worry, guys, I’m not going to smash him before the fight. But January 18 is a different story. I’m not able to go in UFC P.I. because I was supposed to get treatment for my injury, I was supposed to sign some cards, I was supposed to eat lunch with my friends.

“What the heck? I’m going to smash this guy because of all the disrespect, all the lies he was saying.

He added

So far, the co-main event is still on, and there is no update on whether the title match will be canceled.
