“What the g*y happened to you guys?” Sean Strickland Goes Hard On Men Who Collect Sneakers

Sean Strickland is known for being a controversial fighter who holds no bar in sharing his opinions on matters outside of his expertise. His latest rant was on those men who have collections of sneakers but never wear them just so the shoes don’t get dirty. He shared his opinion on his X handle and wrote this.

“When did men start collecting sneakers? What the gay happened to you guys? ‘My sneaker has a red stripe on it and cost 600 dollars, I’m scared to wear them because I don’t want to get them dirty.’ Bunch of f**king lady boys.”

Strickland’s long-time coach, Eric Nicksick, is also an avid collector of sneakers. After seeing one of his students rant, he responded by posting this on his X handle.

Sean Strickland is currently training for his rematch against the middleweight champ, Dricus du Plessis. The two are scheduled to fight in February 2025 at UFC 212. The last encounter between these two ended in a split decision loss for Sean Strickland. After losing his title to “Stillknocks,” Sean went on to fight Paulo Costa and won the bout via unanimous decision, whereas the champ defended his belt against former champ Israel Adesanya at UFC 305.

Though “Stillknocks” showed his interest in fighting undefeated fighter Khamzat Chimaev, the UFC considered a rematch between Sean Strickland and him to make more sense than a fight against Chimaev. Nevertheless, it will be exciting to see whether Strickland closes the debate about whether he is better than the champ at UFC 312.
