“Not going to do MMA” UFC Veteran Goes Brutally Honest About Conor McGregor’s UFC Return

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor isn’t going to make his return to MMA again, that’s what the “American Gangster” and former UFC middleweight title challenger Chael Sonnen believes. Somehow, he is being a realist, as the incidents surrounding the Irishman prove his words correct.

“The Notorious” is one of the largest stakeholders in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, and in the recent event, he faced off with the main event winner, Jeremy Stephens. In the post-fight interview, the BKFC owner also revealed that McGregor wants to fight Stephens in BKFC, but that is just a dream that is not going to come true. In fact, the Irishman’s return to combat sports in the future is not possible.

Chael Sonnen uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, giving his blatant verdict on Conor McGregor.

“He simply is not going to do MMA, nor should he, but he also shouldn’t do any form of combat. It would not be safe for him to go into the UFC Fight Pass Invitational. It would not be safe for Conor to go into a grappling match… It would not be safe for him to go into an MMA match if the number one and golden rule is to protect yourself at all times.”

Chael Sonnen said

“There is nobody under contract, not a top 10 guy, there is nobody under contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship that Conor could protect himself against at all times. There is nobody under contract at bare-knuckle boxing where Conor could protect himself at all times.”

He added

Conor McGregor was recently in talks with Logan Paul for an exhibition boxing match, but according to UFC head honcho Dana White, the rumors aren’t true, and if the Irishman ever returns to combat sports, it will be in the Octagon.
