Lakshya Sen advanced to the semifinals of Thailand Open after a successful win over Malaysia’s Leong Jun Hao in the quarterfinals. The match ended 21-19, 21-11 in 41 minutes at Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok.

The Indian professional badminton player will face either China’s Lu Guang Zu or Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand in the semifinals. His career-high ranking of six has dropped to 23 after some below-par performances this season.
