“A Conor McGregor Fight Next Year(2024)”: Dana White

Former UFC's Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor

Fans have been waiting to see a fight between “The Ultimate Fighter 31” coaches Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler since the start of the show. Former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor has been out of the UFC for the past two years after breaking his leg in the trilogy fight between him and Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The McGregor vs. Chandler fight was earlier speculated to happen in the fourth quarter of 2023, but due to McGregor’s resistance to entering the USADA testing pool earlier the fight happen as it was required to enter the testing pool six months prior to the fight, and only after passing the test a fighter allowed to fight.

Fans and the MMA community are still waiting for the official announcement of this spectacular fight, but so far they haven’t gotten confirmation whether it will happen or not but recently, UFC’s president Dana White in the  “Full Send Podcast” gave a hint that Conor McGregor will feature in a fight in 2024, but when, that is still not confirmed. Dana White, praising the patience of the fighters (McGregor and Chandler), said that:

The good thing for guys like Chandler, and you know there’s a lot of sh*t talk about fighter pay and all that other sh*t – you don’t see these guys hurrying up to fight,”

Jon Jones takes off for f*cking years. Chandler can hang out and wait for f*cking Conor. When you think about Chandler, Chandler was fighting for f*cking Bellator, right? Now Chandler can just sit around and take his time and wait for Conor however long it takes, so these guys are all in good positions where they can wait for the right time, the right fight.”
