Mumbai ended their 8-year Ranji Trophy drought by winning the Ranji Trophy (2023–24) by defeating Vidarbha in the final match. Mumbai defeated Vidarbha by 169 runs to win their 42nd title. Ajinkya Rahane led Mumbai’s team to post a huge total of 538 runs on the board for their opponent in return. Vidarbha captain Akshay Wadkar scored a valiant century; Harsh Dubey also scored a fifty, but that wasn’t enough to register victory, and Mumbai eventually emerged as the winner of this Ranji edition.
