Arman Tsarukyan To Shoot An Anti-Bullying Video, Title Fight Confirmed In October?

Arman Tsarukyan during his fight

Arman Tsarukyan won his last fight against Charles Oliveira to rise to the top of the UFC lightweight contender’s list. However, it wasn’t just the fight that caught the attention of MMA fans but the UFC 300 aftermath, as the Armenian fighter was suspended from fighting for 9 months due to his actions prior to the lightweight bout at UFC 300. Arman Tsarukyan tried punching a fan who was showing him the finger while the former was doing his walkout to the Octagon. Nevada State Athletic Commission quickly responded to the incident and fined Arman $25,000, followed by a nine-month suspension after the bout. He was fortunate to escape a lawsuit as the fan who got punched didn’t want to sue the MMA fighter and even apologized for his actions

Arman Tsarukyan looked unapologetic in the beginning, but NSAC advised him to shoot an anti-bullying video if he wanted to reduce his suspension months. He agreed to do that, and in his recent interaction with Sport 24, he also revealed the month in which he will shoot the video so that he could fight for the lightweight title against Islam Makhachev in October or November this year.

“I will shoot that anti-bullying video at the beginning of August, and my suspension ends on [October] 13th,” . “I just need to make that video, then hopefully I’m going to fight at the end of October or early November. I have to do [the video] to help my career. And it doesn’t bother me, it will only do good for my career. And actually, it doesn’t make any sense to put your hands on someone and waste your energy when you are walking out for an actual fight.”
