Michael Venom Page, after his decision loss at UFC 303 against Ian Garry, has given a name to his fans whom he would like to face in the Octagon next, and it is none other than the former welterweight champion of the UFC, Kamaru Usman. In a recent interview with Michael Bisping, Michael Page revealed his desire to return to the Octagon at the end of the year to fight Kamaru Usman.

“I still feel like I hold weight, people are still excited to see me fight. For while that is there, it’s one small win and I’m back in the same coversation again. I would still go for somebody like Usman, he’s No.1 ranked. The reason I keep saying this is because he doesn’t seem to be in line for a fight… If he is going to be staying in the division then why not… End of the year, give me a little time to prep properly so September/November.”

Michael ‘Venom’ Page’s UFC debut was an exciting one where he showed his striking skills to the fans and lived up to his hype, but in his recent encounter with Ian Garry, Michael Page lost the bout by a unanimous decision as Ian Garry worked on his ground game against striking heavy Page. After getting his first loss in the UFC MVP, he promised his fans that he would bounce back hard from his defeat and perform better in his next fight. Kamaru Usman, who last fought in October last year, is waiting for his next call from the UFC and hasn’t called out anyone so far in his division. The former Welterweight champion is on a losing streak as he lost two consecutive bouts against Leon Edwards, and then after accepting a short notice fight against Khamzat Chimaev last year, he lost via unanimous decision.
