Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor is one of the biggest MMA stars that the UFC has ever produced. Since his lethal leg break injury during UFC 264, while fighting against Dustin Poirier, he has been out of action. However, he coached in the Ultimate Fighter season 31 and was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but he pulled out weeks before the event due to a pinky toe injury. After the pull-out, Conor’s partying videos went viral. Fans anticipated that his return wouldn’t happen soon, at least not this year, and that’s what UFC president Dana White confirmed during the post-fight press conference of the Dana White Contender series.

When asked about any updates on Conor McGregor, Dana White revealed that he had talked to Conor, and the Irish MMA fighter wanted to fight so they could figure out what could happen. The UFC president said Conor’s potential return will not happen this year.

We didn’t meet up, but we talked. He wants to fight, so we’ll figure it out.

Not this year; he won’t fight this year,”

Dana White said

After Dana White’s revelation about Conor’s return, the Irish MMA star replied and said something opposite to what Dana White claimed. According to Conor McGregor, he is eager to make a return in December 2024, and that’s what he has already discussed with the UFC. He requested White to announce the date.

After being out of the action for almost two years, Michael Chandler finally started looking for alternatives, and he recently named various lightweights.
