India’s captain Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the upcoming 2-match test series against Bangladesh. India, so far, is leading the charts in the World Test Championship 2023-25 and will try to increase its lead in the table by winning the test matches against Bangladesh. It will be the first red-ball assignment for Gautam Gambhir as head coach and the first for the new bowling coach of the Indian team, Morne Morkel, who joined Gautam Gambhir’s staff ahead of the test series against Bangladesh. The test series will also allow India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, to register his name in cricket’s history books.

Rohit Sharma, who is known for his six-hitting capabilities and his effortless play, is on the verge of breaking the record of the former Indian player Virender Sehwag, who is on the list of the top 10 six-hitters in international test cricket with 91 sixes in his test career. Rohit Sharma so far has 84 sixes in his pocket and needs 8 sixes to surpass Virender Sehwag to top the charts of the most sixes in test cricket by an Indian batter.
