“I’m a huge fan of Dustin Poirier”, Renato Moicano Huge Praise For His Teammate

Renato Moicano after a win

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier, after his last loss at UFC 302, has remained out of action, and according to most MMA experts, he is now done with getting a shot at the title in the future, but that is not what his teammate, Renato Moicano, opines. Renato Moicano, who is getting ready to fight Benoit Saint-Denis in his next lightweight bout, showed confidence in his teammate Dustin Poirier and believes that he will make a comeback soon. Praising “The Diamond,” Moicano said this.

“I’m a huge fan of Dustin Poirier. The way he lives, the way he carries himself, and he always bounces back. Dustin Poirier, if I have one word to describe him, it’s resilience.”

Before getting a shot to the title at UFC 302, Dustin Poirier defeated Benoit Saint Denis at UFC 299 via second round knockout and his teammate Moicano is going to fight him this week, the two had a conversation about that and Poirier is backing his teammate for a dominant win over Saint Denis. Dustin Poirier while talking on MMA hour praised Moicano for his brilliant Jiu Jitsu game and thinks that would be difficult to deal with for the “God of War” during the fight.

“I actually saw Moicano during International Fight Week. … I went and talked to him and I told him, if he needs help, I’ll fly back to Florida. Honestly, I think he submits BSD. His [Moicano’s] jiu-jitsu is really good. And he’s strong for that weight, and big.”

Renato Moicano is currently ranked 11th in the lightweight rankings, whereas Benoit Saint Denis is just behind him in 12th. The main event bout of UFC Fight Night will decide who will rise in the rankings of the lightweight division to get a title shot in the future.
