Reigning UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria backed his words of becoming the first to knock out Max Holloway since the beginning of the build-up of the UFC 308 card, and pre-fight media day was no different as “El Matador” is determined to do that at UFC 308 main event at Abu Dhabi, UAE. Earlier, Max Holloway accepted that the Spaniard was a tough competitor and referred to Ilia Topuria as a “problem” but titled himself “a problem solver.” Now, the featherweight champ has replied to Holloway’s comments and said it is beyond anyone’s caliber to decode and solve the problem he brings inside the cage.
While giving an interview to FOX Sports, “El Matador” said this.
He never felt the pressure he’s going to feel this Saturday night just right now he’s like no one could knock me out hit this and that and blah blah blah but you never you you have a huge problem in front of you you call yourself a uh Problem Solver but you have you have a problem calling El Mador and no one could solve this problem and he’s undefeated in every war he faced so be careful my friend.

“It just makes no sense. At the end of the day, to me, I don’t think he deserves. You gotta earn that right. I don’t think he deserved that right. I mean, you know the guy that he’s copycatting. This guy’s a copycat. Down to the tattoos, his aura, to the way he’s approaching fights. The guy’s a copycat and you’re best friends with the guy he’s trying to copy.
