“He won’t be able to hang up with me” Colby Covington Honest Preview Of UFC Tampa

Colby Covington post-fight

Former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington will face Joaquin Buckley in his next fight. After almost a year, Covington will make a comeback in the octagon, as the last battle against former champ Leon Edwards didn’t go his way. Leon Edwards defeated Colby via unanimous decision to retain his title, ultimately losing it to Belal Muhammad at UFC 304. This time, “Chaos” is confident that he is going to give a dominant performance at the main event of the UFC Tampa this weekend.

In an interview, Covington said that Joaquin Buckley hadn’t faced anyone like him before and that he was going to drown him during the fight. The rising contender has never gone five rounds with anyone yet.

”The fight just looks like me completely breaking him [Buckley], taking him down, taking his will, bringing him to the deep end of the pool and drowning him. I just don’t think he’ll be able to keep up. He’s never been in a five-round fight with an elite fighter like me. He’s been fighting some guys that are past their time but I’m not pass my time, I’m in my prime. Saturday I’m going to drown this guy… I’m going to drown him and he’s not going to be able to hang up with me for 25 minutes.”
