RCB’s Victory Parade In Bengaluru Cancelled As Police Denied Permission

RCB won the IPL title after 18 years of wait, and the franchise wants to celebrate the joy with its fans for the immense patience and support they have shown to the team all these years. When RCB lifted the title, millions of RCB fans hit the roads to celebrate the team’s victory late at night. The franchise, after winning the title, decided to do a victory parade in Bengaluru, which was supposed to start from the Vidhana Soudha and end at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, but Bengaluru Police denied permission for a road show due to the high traffic congestion in Bengaluru roads. The city traffic police have issued an advisory for the fans.

Due to felicitation function for RCB team at chinnaswamy stadium from 5PM to 6PM public are advised to avoid roads sorrounding vidhnasoudha and chinnaswamy stadium from 3PM to 8PM . There will be NO victory parade, Due to limited parking, public are advised to use Metro and other public transport.

Bengaluru Traffic Police Advisory

The team arrived at Bengaluru airport, where the Deputy CM of Karnataka, DK Shivkumar, received them. At Vidhana Soudha, the entire team was felicitated by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Tickets And Passes

Due to the expectations of a huge crowd, only those possessing valid tickets and passes will be allowed to enter the M. Chinnaswamy stadium. Parking facilities are limited, and parking vehicles near the stadium is prohibited. Some spots have been announced where the vehicles can be parked: St. Joseph Indian School Ground, UB City Parking lot, BMTC TTMC Shivajinagara 1st Floor & OLD KGID Building, and Kings Road (inside Cubbon Park) are the spots where fans can park their vehicles.

Fans have already stormed near the stadium, to places such as high-rise buildings, high courts, etc., to watch the team.
