Vaibhav Suryavanshi Scripts History In Youth Test With The Ball

Vaibhav Suryavanshi during u19 test match

In the ongoing Under-19 Youth Test against England U-19, Indian teen prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripted yet another record to his name, but this time it wasn’t with the bat, as he usually does; it was with the ball, showcasing the other side of his cricketing talent. Vaibhav, while bowling left-arm spin, first picked up the wicket of Hamza Shaikh to become the youngest cricketer to get a wicket in a youth U19 test match at the age of 14 years and 107 days, and then he went on to pick up his second wicket and dismissed Thomas Rew on 34 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi finished with 2/35 in 12 overs as India bowled out England for 439 runs, taking a lead of 101 runs.

Although in the first innings, Vaibhav Suryavanshi failed to score a big score for his team and was dismissed after scoring just 14 runs, he scored a fifty in the second innings, carrying the same aggressive approach. Skipper Ayush Mhatre’s hundred helped India put 540 runs on the board, and then India bowled out England for 439. As of now, India was bowled out for 248 runs by England in the 2nd innings.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi came to the limelight with his valiant century in the IPL. The Southpaw became the second-fastest batter to score a century in an IPL match, hitting 101 runs in just 38 balls while playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 against Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans. Since then, he has become an overnight star. He didn’t just stop there and made his name in the youth ODI series by hitting a hundred against England in the 4th ODI of the series. The left-handed batter scored 143 runs in the match and his innings was the reason behind India’s victory in the series by a 3-2.
