Dana White Announced Alex Pereira vs Magomed Ankalaev Rematch At UFC 320

Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev

UFC head honcho Dana White announced some bangers for fight fans, as the most anticipated rematch between former champion Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev will headline the UFC 320 fight card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Magomed Ankalaev beat Alex Pereira at UFC 313 to become the undisputed champ in the light heavyweight division. When it came to giving a rematch to “Poatan”, Magomed Ankalaev agreed on that without a second thought. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting this update, and Dana White has booked the rematch for UFC 320.

Not just the main event, the main card is filled with exciting matchups. In the co-main event, Merab Dvalishvili will defend his bantamweight title against Cory Sandhagen. “The Machine” defeated Sean O’Malley at UFC 316 to retain the title. During the post-fight interview, he expressed interest in fighting Cory Sandhagen next, which is what the UFC has provided. Merab Dvalishvili is on a 13-fight win streak, which is the longest winning streak in the Bantamweight division. If the Georgian wins at UFC 320, it would take him to 14, surpassing Khabib Nurmagomedov’s record of 13 wins.

Not only that, but the main card at UFC 320 also features another light heavyweight bout, in which Khalil Rountree Jr. will take on former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka. Both fighters registered victories in their last fights, and both got beaten by Alex Pereira in their UFC career. Jiri Prochazka has already proposed his name for the next title bout, and the winner of the fight at UFC 320 will be in the running for a title shot next.

Although we have a great UFC 320 card, it is still unclear who will feature in the co-main event at UFC 319 next month.
